Dear Students,
The Real Estate Office has informed us that there will be a forthcoming FDNY inspection of Aron Hall to ensure compliance to Fire Safety and Emergency Management policies. As such, we need to ensure that all the secondary means of egress (exit)
within Aron Hall (including the fire exists14th floor duplexes) are free of clutter. This includes trash, debris, bikes, as well as any furniture storage function. We understand that these spaces are often convenient to use for storage, but
both for the upcoming inspection as well as in the future, these egress spaces must be cleared.
The Real Estate Office has been kind enough to provide building staff and resources to help you dispose of heavy items blocking egress areas from September 2 to September 9th, 2014. In addition, they will be providing a dumpster outside the building
for the same dates. If you require assistance, please visit the front desk.
For those who lived in Aron Hall over the past year, the Real Estate Office has been nothing short of spectacular in their consideration of student time and schedules during the recent fire alarm instillations. We request that we now show them the same
level of courtesy. Should your exits be blocked in any way, please meet with your roommates and develop a plan to clear them as soon as possible. This will help to ensure that you pass the FDNY inspection and help the Real Estate Office maintain Aron Hall
as a safe place for all student residents.
Thank you for your cooperation.
Sincerely,
ISMMS Student Council
