RE: Health System Policy Regarding Alcohol on Premises
In order to promote the highest levels of safety for our patients, staff, and students, and to remain consistent with our public health mission, the Mount Sinai Health System has
adopted a revised policy on alcohol consumption on campus.
Alcohol may be served at authorized Mount Sinai events that are coordinated with a licensed outside professional caterer or licensed outside food service vendor. In addition, alcohol
may be served at authorized departmental events and functions that are held at licensed off-site facilities (for example, restaurants, catering halls, and similar venues).
Effective immediately, alcohol is not permitted to be served on the premises of any Mount Sinai Health System location other than for the specially authorized instances noted above.
Thank you for your attention to and cooperation with this important initiative.
