Thank you for your email of March 16 and your feedback on our products.

 

Please be informed that the products sold in India and Nepal are different to that sold in the US and Europe.  These products have been formulated differently to address the demands of our customers. Our products for export conform to quality and packaging norms in the countries of import.  However, the efficacy of all our products, irrespective of the country of purchase, remains unchanged.

 

The active ingredients used in our products are 100% herbal and therapeutic values are derived only from these herbs.  Inactive ingredients assist in the product formulation, but do not constitute any therapeutic activity.  

 

However, there are substitutes that we are trying out.  Our scientists are evaluating their performance with respect to giving the customer the feel that they are generally used to (lathering, for instance) and also their effect on product stability (prevention of bacterial growth, for instance).  Add to this, we are evaluating the additional cost to the customer, which in most cases is substantially higher.  A vast majority of customers are just not willing to pay, possibly double, what they are paying now.  Keeping all this in mind, most brands continue with the present formulations and work towards a more balanced solution. 

 

We have just introduced the Himalaya Organique line in the US.  This line meets all your requirements more fully.  Once we are able to evaluate customer response, we can then take a call on making this new line available in India as well, although at a price which will reflect the additional costs of manufacture.  In addition, our present line is also undergoing modifications to come closer to your requirements, without losing out on affordability.  

 

We shall keep you informed as soon as these products are available in the domestic market.

The ones sold in India have very basic and only natural ingredients mentioned. There is no mention of paraben free, GMO free etc. Which is clearly mentioned in the products sold in USA.
