Arab Activist Glossary in the USA

Dear Staff members,

Lara suggested that we start a glossary for AROC for the corresponding words in Arabic of our most used words in our work. For example

labour union: naqabat al ummal

anti zionism: munahadat al suhyounyyeh

The glossary will be in Arabic and English, i do not know how to get this computer to type in Arabic yet. To get corresponding Arabic terms i may do dictionary translation when it applies or research popular terms within the communities.

this is awesome! thanks diala, maybe we can also do a practice on how pronounce the words.. i think it would be cool, if we all have little note cards on our desk to help us refer to the commonly used words in the office and just when we have political conversations with our clients, and try to have them among ourselves here in AROC in Arabic. 

as for certain words, i cant really think of anything, but when i do, ill be sure to send out an email? would this help, by any chance on how to organize the words?

or we can have a list on our google docs to share with all of us... just throwing some suggestions out there.
