I began testing Armor Alley this week and have not found any bugs to
speak of as far as gameplay goes. It's just like I remember it back
in the day! :)

One thing that I find difficult is the control of the helicopter
movement. I wish there was some sort of calibration of orientation.
I think that would allow people to customize how they hold the iPhone
for gameplay. I notice there is an accelerometer setting for
'Custom', but that doesn't seem to do anything(?).

Also, the manual looks like it was copied from the original and not
modified for the iPhone. For example, under 'Paratroopers', it says:

Paratroopers are launched from helicopters by pressing "space"
while the helicopters is airborne.

Instead of 'space' it should say something about the paratroopers
button. There are a lot of references like this in the manual.

Also, I think the manual should have a different background to make it
more legible. The camo is cool, but maybe mute it a bit? Or, maybe a
different (larger?) font? Another cool way to do it could be to use a
cyan font on a black background to make it look like an old terminal
or something.

I'll play around more over the next week and see if anything pops up.
The missiles are hard to shoot, but maybe that is just something to
get used to. The enemy helicopter seems to jump up and down quite a
bit.

I don't have as many comments, but one thing that has been bugging me is
that it is hard to get the helicopter to land and stay on the ground.

I hope you'll find it subtly better: There's music. And, thanks to my
testers, there all sorts of new features: the seeking missile target is
highlighted in red, van flash on the radar, starting on a high level
remembers your earnings, ...

The tilt at which the helicopter is centered vertically is the
considered normal. Armor Alley responds to a 15 degree tilt off of
normal. Tilting past that doesn't have any additional effect.

You can customize the angle which is considered normal by holding the
device at the normal angle you would like and then swiping right from
the top, center of the screen. Swipe left to cancel the custom
orientation.

This is described in the manual. I've asked the artist to add a line to
the guide's vertical orientation page: "* See the manual for custom
orientations"

I'm doing a once over on the manual today. Hopefully, I'll clean all
that up.

Noted.

You can hold the missile firing button down. When the enemy crosses in
front of your copter, your missile will fire.

Thank you guys,

One more thing on the manual. It would be nice if there was a way to
scroll to the top instantly (like many apps do when you tap the menu
bar). My apologies if you already did this in the latest version -- I
have not seen it yet.
