* Learn more about the school changes recommended for the 2010-2011
school year -- Meeting next Monday *
In an effort to save money, the Minneapolis Public Schools district
has proposed the Changing School Options that includes closing the
Armatage Community School program and making the Armatage site a
Montessori Magnet.
If this plan is approved by the School Board on September 22, Armatage
Community School students would move to Kenny Community School in 2010
and any new families interested in the Armatage site would be entered
into a lottery for a spot in the Montessori Magnet school. To view the
full recommendation, go to:

At Changing School Options town hall meetings:
* Learn more about all school changes recommended for the 2010-2011
school year.
* Ask questions. District leaders will be available to answer
questions and address concerns. Hmong, Spanish and Somali interpretive
services will be available at all meetings.
* Share your comments with School Board members. Board members want
to hear what you think before they vote on September 22.
Meetings are 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. and are co-hosted by Area Parent
Advisory Councils. All meetings include a brief presentation followed
by a question and answer session. All are welcome.
