Attention Residents of Armatage and Kenny - Door-to-door Panhandler

Since December 22, 2009 there have been at least five reports of a
panhandler going door-to-door asking for money for his daughter who
has asthma. These incidents have taken place between 55-58 St. W. /
Logan-Knox Av S. The male is described as a black male, approximately
30 years old, 5’10”, medium to heavy build, scruffy beard, wearing a
black stocking cap and dark jacket.

The suspect approaches people who are outside of the house. He
usually says he is a neighbor from a nearby block and he needs money
to get his daughter asthma medication. When questioned further or
refused, he simply leaves the area. This party has NOT acted
aggressively in the reported incidents.

If you witness this type of behavior or any other suspicious activity,
please call 911 immediately.
