To TICA members:
I would like to invite you to the 2009 CORD-India 5K Walk/Run to be held on October 3rd at great Brook Farm State Park in Carlisle Massachusetts.
CORD (Chinmaya Organization for Rural Development) is an organization dedicated to providing health care, education, and empowerment to disadvantaged people in rural India. CORD is remarkably successful and currently covers over 600 villages in Andhra Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Orissa, and Tamil Nadu. For more information on CORD please see http://www.cord.org.in.
The walk is at Great Brook Farm State Park in Carlisle, MA. The trail is flat and wooded and is appropriate for all ages. We encourage families to participate.
You can register for the walk at http://cmb.dojiggy.com - click on "Register for Walk". It is also possible to donate and/or get pledges from family and friends.
Please join us for this worthwhile and fun event.
