I am passing along this message I just received from Heather Packard of Mass Audubon. In the past I have asked AMBC representatives to urge club members to support proposed anti-rodenticide legislation. Now Mass Audubon is seeking people to provide testimony at the hearing this coming Monday. Please pass this message along to any club members who might be interested. Sorry for the short notice.

Hello John,

Would you be willing to forward the email below to the Brookline Bird Club?

Thanks,

The hearing for the rodenticide bill, An Act Restricting the Use of Rodenticides in the Environment (H965/S644), is Monday, October 27th at 1:00pm. Participation in the hearing can be as simple as writing an email, or you can speak for two minutes virtually or in person. Check out a sample email and more: https://bit.ly/RodenticideBillHearing

This is a reminder that if you are planning to give verbal testimony, in person or virtually, for the rodenticide bill at Monday’s hearing the deadline to pre-register is TOMORROW, Friday, October 24th at 10:00 AM.

Register using this online form: https://forms.office.com/g/QSjDgWHnyE

You will need this name and bill number:  An Act Restricting the Use of Rodenticides in the Environment (H965/S644).  And if your town has a home rule petition you will need the bill’s full name and number too. (FYI - Arlington’s is the only home rule petition filed that is still missing from the hearing’s agenda.  If you are from Arlington, you could email your legislators to ask them to help get it included on Monday.)
