We are passing along the following request from Heather Packard at Mass Audubon:
It is time to act again to protect wildlife and pets from rodenticide poisoning. The Mass Ready Act passed the Senate in April, and because of your voices, it addresses rodenticides.
This morning, the bill moved out of the House Ways and Means Committee, and the Committee removed the Senate’s rodenticide amendment from the House version. Rep. Hawkins has proposed a statewide rodenticide ban bill be added as Amendment #10. Your State Representative will vote on it this Wednesday, June 17.
Please contact your Reps today and ask them to cosponsor the amendment and vote for it. We need them to hear from as many advocates as possible before they vote on Wednesday. Want to make the greatest impact? Look up their phone number and call them.
We have one day to flood their inboxes and voicemails with calls to cosponsor and vote for Amendment #10. Let’s get this amendment passed to protect wildlife and pets! |
