County brining the trails, trail cleanup Jan 16

There were brine traces on the W&OD, Custis and Bluemont trails today. Three cheers for the trail crew!

Below is a trail cleanup announcement scheduled for MLK day:

W&OD Trail Cleanup

On Martin Luther King Jr. Day, January 16 from 9am to noon join us at the Columbia Pike trail crossing to clean up litter and debris along the trail. As Dr. King once said, "Everybody can be great because everybody can serve."

Refreshments and some fun giveaways will be provided by WalkArlington sas a thank-you to all who come out for the cleanup. The Friends of the W&OD Trail will be there as well, including officers and some of the Trail Patrol folks--a great chance to meet them and chat.
