Photo of the nice new pavement where the W&OD passes under Wilson Blvd. and the awkward turn has been smoothed out in accordance with a BAC recommendation made in 1992.

Photo of a new sign that protrudes into trail space on S Eads Street and 12th Street S. The signpost is on the northeast corner. And another of the drivers' view coming out the Doubletree Hotel onto Army-Navy Dr. where sign and retaining wall make it difficult to see a rider on the trail.

Taken by John Schubert, in Arlington for a NCUTCD meeting, with location clarification by John Allen.

I don't see how anybody could conclude from that sign that the County does not need help with recognizing problems with new bike facilities.

Randy,

That’s a welcome improvement to the W&OD! Regarding the sign at Eads and 12th, according to Google Streetview, it looks like sign predates the bike lane, though it’s silly to not have been moved when the new curb was put in.
