Volunteering with BikeArlington at the Arlington County Fair Aug. 16-17

Hi Bicycle Advisory Committee Members,
I hope all is well with you! I’m emailing because the Arlington County Fair is upon us, and I wanted to check in to see if any of you are interested in volunteering with us this year for The Electric Ride Experience on the basketball court.
Those of you who helped with this activity in the past may remember that we offered e-bike test rides on the basketball court of Thomas Jefferson Community Center, which is where the fair always takes place. This year, BikeArlington will not be managing e-bike test rides. Those will be arranged by the Capital Bikeshare team, led by Judah dal Cais, and will be handled by local bike shop staff and Bird, Lime, and Spin, micromobility operators in Arlington County.
Our main outdoor activity this year will be tabling on the basketball court and showing people how to put their bike on the bus using our demonstration rack. If you can help with these activities for a few hours, we’d love to have you!
If you’d like to help demonstrate the “Put Your Bike on the Bus” rack, we can show you how to use it if you haven’t used it already. Otherwise, you can opt to table and hand out maps and other BikeArlington materials.
We will be there on Saturday, August 16, from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Sunday, August 17, from 11 a.m.-6 p.m.
