Summary: A discussion of Virginia legislation recommendations that are relevant to biking and walking.

7:30 – 8:00pm: CIP Review Challenges in Recent Complete Streets Projects

Michelle Stafford, Principal Planner & NCSC Liaison/DES

Leah Gerber, Bike/Ped Planner/DES

Summary: Discussion of projects including 28th Street South, Four Mile Run Drive, and S. George Mason Drive - how can the BAC & PAC ensure that bicyclist and pedestrian needs are fully supported in these projects, especially when there seems to be so much resistance from local residents and businesses? How can we better balance parking needs with the need for safe bike/ped passages?

8:00 – 8:20pm: Shirlington & Four Mile Run Trail Crossing

Summary: Discussion of the need for improved signalization for at S. Four Mile Run & Shirlington Road intersections around Jennie Dean Park. How can Arlington give humans a dedicated crossing time at this intersection?
