Subject: Engagement Opportunity: CC2DCA Base Concept Design

Dear Cynthia and Dana,

DES Transportation staff are kicking off a new public engagement opportunity for the CC2DCA project. The engagement materials for this opportunity, along with more information about the project’s background, goals and planning basis is available on the project webpage.

This public engagement launched on February 26, 2026 and will be open to the public until March 29, 2026. During this phase of engagement, we are seeking input from the community about the base concept design for this new multimodal connection between DCA and Crystal City, including the new link to the Mount Vernon Trail.

We invite the BAC to share their feedback on this project during this engagement. If you are interested in providing consolidated feedback as a committee, you may submit a comment letter by May 1, 2026 via email to your staff liaison for inclusion in this engagement.

Thank you for your efforts to inform Arlington County transportation projects like this one. We look forward to reviewing your input.

Sincerely,

Nate
