Good morning,
The Virginia Passenger Rail Authority is grateful for your thoughtful feedback on the plans for a new bike and pedestrian bridge across the Potomac. There are many factors to consider as we continue to work through the intricacies of building a new pathway from Virginia into our nation’s capital. We acknowledge that engaging stakeholders is critical to the success of the Long Bridge Project. To that end, we invite you and members of your organizations to join VPRA for a Stakeholder Meeting on Monday, February 13, 2023, at 11:30AM. This meeting be a hybrid virtual/in-person format and will give you an opportunity to have an open discussion with VPRA COO Michael McLaughlin and members of the planning and design teams. The in-person location for the meeting will be our current Alexandria office at 1725 Duke Street in the 1st Floor Lobby Conference Room. Due to space constraints in this location, we ask groups to limits in person participants to no more than two, however, we encourage online participation and those attending virtually will be able to ask questions and view materials. .

Wow. This is huge! Pick your strongest players because I suspect this may be the only time you get a personalized invitation to an in-person meeting with them. I'd say two people max from the BAC. Definitely get your speaking points in order and stick to them. No more than three seems about right. I can't stress this enough: Stay on message.I'd kill to be there myself but I'm going to be out of town. So I'll be there with you in spirit. HMU if you need prep help.
