Subject: Community-informed changes coming soon to S. Abingdon Rd., N. Ohio St., Clarendon Blvd., and Wilson Blvd
Good afternoon,
On behalf of my colleague Erin Potter and the rest of the project team, I wanted to touch base and give you an update on resurfacing projects on S. Abingdon Road (34th Street S. - Bridge over I-395), Clarendon Boulevard (N. Garfield St. to N. Adams. St.), N. Ohio Street (12th Rd. N. to Washington Boulevard), and Wilson Boulevard (N. George Mason Dr. to N. Vermont Street). These projects are part of the 2022 season of Resurfacing Projects for Complete Streets and will provide better access and safety for all road users by changing the way the street is laid out during the resurfacing process.
Final Plans Informed by Your Feedback
Our team appreciates the feedback shared with us at our online an in-person open houses and the location-specific comments shared via the two rounds of community engagement. Your perspectives, comments and feedback on the concept design helped staff refine and develop the final plans, which are now posted on the project page. We’ve also posted final plan engagement summaries, which highlight the planned improvements and show how your feedback helped us get there.

What’s next?
We anticipate resurfacing work for these projects for will begin the week of August 15 and run through late September. Each location should take 1-2 weeks once started, weather permitting. Crews are still coordinating final schedules and as dates solidify, we will share updates with stakeholders and to the project page.
Again, on behalf of the project team, thank you for your time and attention to help us implement cost-effective measures that improve safety and access for all people using a street.
Sincerely,
