Briefing from NOVA Parks on W&OD / Dominion MOU

Hi, Cynthia and All --

Even though I am no longer officially the Forestry and Natural Resources Commission liaison to the BAC any more, I did say that I would alert you if there was any FNRC business of possible interest to the BAC.  (You might share this with the PAC, too.)

FYI, Anh Phan from NOVA Parks is scheduled to update the FNRC on their Memorandum of Understanding with Dominion Energy for the W&OD at the Feb. 26 meeting.     

The meeting will be held Thursday evening, Feb. 26 at 7:00. Below is a link to the FNRC's web page with info on how to join the meeting on Teams.  And just so you're aware, since it's a commission, we follow formal meeting rules.  Meetings are open to anyone to observe and listen in, but only commission members can ask questions, etc.  (There is an opportunity for members of the public to make a statement at the beginning if you pre-register.  Info on that is also on the web page below.)  

(I think they'll eventually post the Agenda on the web page, too. but I'm not sure.)

I hope Ms. Phan will have encouraging news for us, but we'll see.....

Thanks for the reminder about this W&OD news @Noreen. I expect you all will be very pleased - the agreement goes above-and-beyond the previous MOU. I was part of a group that heard a closed-door briefing before the agreement was finalized and NOVA Parks was really really pleased with the outcome. And advocates truly helped make it happen! I encourage you to check out WABA's blog post from last week that highlights how it all came together.
