Hi all,
The next Arlington Astronomy Night is this Saturday, August 2nd where we’ll be looking at the Moon! We’re going to start well before dark with the hope that a slightly earlier start time will mean it is easier for the younger crowd to get there. The Moon will be about half full (for the optimists in the crowd) which is a great time to look at it. We’ll focus in on the “terminator”, the line dividing the light and dark areas because it is a great place to see the shadows that crater edges cast down onto the bottoms.
As always, we’ll be set up in Robbins Farm Park by the benches that overlook Boston. It should be a clear, cool evening!
Jeff
