Google alternative service for "group" discussion

AS PROMISED: This option is probably the most secure and easiest to use
for group discussion. Google has a bulletin board format and search
feature that allows easier access to topics and lines of discussion. It
does not offer the web tools that Yahoo! offers for group organization
(i.e. Calendar, data base, links and polls features. We can, however
use both if you want.

We can also consider MSM (hotmail) services as they include calendar
etc. They also offer a webpage publisher. Google has a blog
publisher. Choice depends on how we want to use the internet. Yahoo!
has the widest range of tools and service. Google has the easiest
discussion and best research tools without unwanted advertising -- most
secure from spaming -- and does not require you to set up a new
identity or email address as do hotmail and Yahoo!
