The ARK Alliance website (arks.org) was having trouble returning pages from approximately 17:00 UTC on Tuesday Feb 14 until 22:00 UTC on Thursday Feb 16. We regret the inconvenience and believe the situation has been resolved.
Depending on their locations, users were experiencing partial or full outages. The situation appears to have been caused by a combination of a hardware failure at the hosting service and unsuccessful automatic updates of two WordPress plugins. The ARK Alliance is exploring ways to improve site reliability going forward.
