The Imperial Cumulus (積帝雲, Sekitei-un?) is an ancient, fossilized mass of clouds that floats around Paradise near the island of Jaya. Its pattern of movement is fairly predictable.

Because of its density, the Imperial Cumulus does not have an atmospheric current and can never condense into rain, but it still manages to float in the sky somehow. Additionally, sunlight cannot penetrate it, so any area of the Blue Sea caught beneath the Imperial Cumulus will suddenly become dark, almost like it instantly turned from day to night.

Sea Clouds (海雲, Umigumo?), also called Ocean Clouds, are large water-like clouds that form seas in the sky. One can almost sail on it as if it were water, except that Sea Clouds are slightly less dense than water, and as such, things that are dropped into it will sink faster than in normal water. Another difference of seas made of Sea Clouds from seas made of water is that there is no sea floor. However, they still affect Devil Fruit users like a regular body of water would. These clouds form two known seas: the White Sea and the White White Sea.

Sea Clouds are not normally able to survive down at Blue Sea level.[2]Vegapunk, however, developed an island-wide air conditioning system that controls and regulates Egghead's climate, and has created Island Clouds and Sea Clouds above the island.[3]

Like Sea Clouds, Island Clouds are created when a compound in Seastone called "pyrobloin" is ejected into the air by volcanic eruptions and comes in contact with water vapors.[1] The density of the water vapors determines whether a Sea Cloud or Island Cloud will be created.

Ball Clouds (玉雲, Tamagumo?) are clouds in the shape of spheres. Enel briefly uses one as a floating platform when confronting the remaining participants of the Upper Yard Survival.[4]

Satori used a variation known as Surprise Clouds (びっくり雲, Bikkurigumo?) in his Ordeal of Balls. When a Surprise Cloud is touched, you never know what is going to emerge. It could be anything from an explosion to live snakes, though some contain harmless surprises, like flowers.[5]

Swamp Clouds (沼雲, Numagumo?) are clouds with the qualities of a swamp. Anyone who stands on one of these clouds will sink into it, and the more one struggles, the more they will sink. The Swamp Clouds have no air inside them and victims will end up drowning inside the cloud.

Due to the power of Soru Soru no Mi, there exist sentient clouds[10] that have special properties and abilities that normal clouds do not possess, including weather manipulation and various lighting-generating abilities.

Flame Clouds (焔雲, Homuragumo"?) are unique clouds created by the power of the Mythical Zoan-type Uo Uo no Mi, Model: Seiryu. The fruit user can use these clouds as foot holds, granting them a pseudo flight.[11] The user can also use these clouds to float other objects, even whole islands.[12] The Artificial Devil Fruit created by Dr. Vegapunk also possesses this ability.[13]

One Piece has reached the climactic finale of the fight between Luffy and Kaido in the skies about Wano, and the newest chapter of the series definitely took fans by surprise with Momonosuke Oden's last minute save! The war across Onigashima has reached its final moments as the previous chapter of the series teased the end of the fight between Luffy and Kaido as both of the powerhouses unleashed what looked like their final attacks. All the while, Momonosuke had been tasked with the biggest mission in the war yet as he had to make sure that Onigashima didn't crash down on Wano's Flower Capital below.

Momo was tasked with somehow using his dragon Devil Fruit powers to develop the same kind of flame clouds that Kaido had been using to keep Onigashima afloat throughout the war, but with Luffy potentially dealing the final blow to Kaido, Momo needed to replace these clouds to make sure the island didn't crash down below. This finally comes to pass with the newest chapter of the series as Momo digs deep in the moment of truth and saves Onigashima from crashing as the final blow is dealt to Kaido.

Chapter 1049 of One Piece sees Luffy nail Kaido with one final and powerful punch, and for now it looks like the Emperor has been defeated for good. The problem with that and with Luffy launching that final punch, however, was that Luffy had put all of his faith into making sure that Momo was able to save Onigashima from falling. Momo had been nervous about getting such a massive responsibility as he and Yamato had been struggling to help form his flame clouds despite all of his efforts to do so thus far.

But as the final blow lands, Momo finally unlocks the flame cloud ability just in time and he catches Onigashima just as it was about to come colliding with the ground. He manages to keep it afloat long enough to make sure it lands gently on the ground, so while Luffy had dealt the final blow Momo was the one to literally make sure that Wano's future was kept alive. Saving them from a huge bit of destruction, now he's truly gone full circle as the country's future rule.

What do you think? How do you feel about Momo finally making his flame clouds work in time to save the island? What do you think it means for Momo's future in Wano overall? Let us know all of your thoughts about it in the comments! You can even reach out to me directly about all things animated and other cool stuff @Valdezology on Twitter!

Clouds are temporary, non-solid dungeon features, which occupy tiles. Some clouds cause damage or status effects, while others do nothing more than block line of sight. Some areas of the dungeon will perpetually create clouds.

Clouds are non-solid, so they can be stood on. Blink can land you into any cloud, but teleportation will never land you into a harmful cloud. Clouds will dissipate over time. However, player-generated clouds disappear the moment the cloud leaves your line-of-effect (similar to line of sight, but they can dissipate behind transparent walls).

In most cases, no clouds can be placed on tiles where a cloud already exists. For example, placing a cloud of smoke will prevent a more dangerous cloud from appearing on that tile. Note that atmospheric-type clouds and steam clouds can be replaced; no other type can.

Atmospheric clouds are merely decorative; they have no effect. Several varieties exist, including sparse dust, thin mist, or magical condensation. Non-opaque atmospheric clouds can be replaced by other clouds.

Opaque clouds can block line of sight. Your line of sight stops after two opaque clouds in any direction. Many opaque clouds have no other special effect, but some have extra effects like damage or status effects.

They are somewhat rarer than atmospheric clouds. Translocational energy is created, in small amounts, by Translocations magic, teleports, and summons. Scrolls of fog create smoke, which spreads to adjacent tiles. Many effects like Dithmenos' Bleed Smoke, Wu Jian's Heavenly Storm, and the Cloak of the Thief create opaque clouds.

Steam clouds are full of scaldingly hot mist. They inflict steam damage on anything standing on them. Creatures with rSteam or rF+ are immune to the cloud's damage. In addition, these clouds are opaque and will block LOS.

Created by Fire Storm, red draconian or Dragon Form breath attack, demonspawn with Ignite Blood, Qazlal worshippers, or a condenser vane. Ignite Poison turns poison clouds into flames, and creates flames from Eringya's Noxious Bog. The unrand salamander hide armour constantly creates flames around you.

Spreading flames are a special type of flame cloud, created when trees are set on fire. They act like regular flames, but periodically create new flames in tiles next to them, potentially lighting other trees on fire.

Created by the spell Freezing Cloud, a condenser vane, Qazlal worshippers, and the unrand axe Frostbite. Simulacra create an ice cloud when destroyed. For monsters, using Bolt of Cold over water, or the spell Glaciate, creates frost clouds.

Acidic fog is a hideously dangerous type which inflicts acid damage, and causes the corrosion status. Creatures with corrosion resistance are fully immune. Fortunately, monsters with rCorr are very rare outside of the Slime Pits

Clouds of blessed fire burn with holy, cleansing light. Deals more damage to demons and the undead. Only creatures consecrated by or in service to the good gods are immune to their effects. In addition, these clouds are opaque and will block LOS.

Clouds of excruciating misery deal 10% of the player's max HP (15% for monsters) every turn spent in it. Negative energy resistance can reduce this to 6.6%, 3.3% and 0% respectively for every level of rN+.Torment resistance has no effect on these clouds, and unlike torment this damage can be directly lethal.

Spectral flames burn with the chill fires of undeath. They deal partially-irresistible negative energy damage. In addition, they summon spectral things, which immediately attack creatures hostile to the cloud's creator. Undead creatures are immune to the damage.

Clouds of whirling frost are created by the spell, Polar Vortex. They deal heavy, partially irresistible cold damage, lift creatures into flight, and cause creatures to move counter-clockwise around the caster. In addition, they can destroy trees.

Clouds of noxious fumes (also known as mephitic clouds) are mildly toxic and foul-smelling gases. Anything caught in one is confused for several turns; creatures with higher HD are less likely to be confused. Can be turned into flame clouds via Ignite Poison.

Clouds of miasma (also known as foul pestilence) are dangerous banks of corrupt fog. Vulnerable creatures take damage, are poisoned, and become slowed. Nonliving and undead creatures are immune; poison resistance stops the poison, and stasis stops the slow.

You can create miasma clouds with Cigotuvi's Dreadful Rot or the demonspawn mutation, Foul Stench. Death drakes, ushabtiu, and putrid mouths can breathe them. Tainted leviathans and some pandemonium lords generate a ring of miasma, and curse toes leave them behind when moving. They can appear in certain Swamp:4 vaults.
