If you're like most people, you probably text all the time. And if you're like most people, you're probably always looking for ways to make your texting more efficient. Well, if you have an Android phone, there's a way to schedule text messages so that you can send them at a preset time.

Scheduled text messages are timed text messages that are programmed to be sent at a later date and time. The sender can specify the time and date for the message to be sent, and the message will be sent automatically at that time. Scheduled SMS text messages can be useful for sending reminders or delivering messages at a time when the recipient is likely to be available to read them.

Although companies are more likely to use a business text messaging platform to do this, individual users can also schedule texts with their native messaging apps or downloading feature-rich ones from the Google Play Store.

Auto Text is the solution when it comes to scheduling text messages on Android. This all-in-one app's scheduling feature works not only for SMS, but also for WhatsApp, Telegram, and more instant messaging apps. Besides scheduling, you can also create auto-responses, create fake incoming calls, mass text your friends, and more.

3. Accept permission for the app to access your phone information.
It will request access to contacts, make and manage phone calls, your phone call logs, access photos, media and files, and send and view SMS messages on your device.

6. Choose how, when and how often to back up your text messages.
Once in, you can choose how often to delete backups whether to back up over Wi-Fi and how often you want your backups to occur.

good morning
I have the following question, my home assistant can send me a text message to two cell phones, in case my cell phone runs out of navigation I can receive text messages to the cell phone

Not sure I really understand the question, but I have automations in HA which send text messages. What I do is use the SMTP (e-mail) platform. Most cell providers have a way to send an e-mail to a special address (your-pho...@text.theirservice.com or whatever) which gets forwarded along as a text.

My solution:
Use Shortcuts on Ios and Automate/Tasker on Android to setup an automation that if you get an email with a specific subject (or password) the message of the email will be send as SMS from you phone.

This question may pop up, especially if you run a business. Sending texts to multiple contacts without group message can be easily executed using Android, IOS, WhatsApp and business texting software. This type of texting is important while sharing:

All the above-mentioned methods IE Android, IOS and Whatsapp are more like a workaround, rather than a permanent solution for sending a text to multiple contacts without group messages. This is because-

In order to send messages to contacts separately, you need a mass texting app; which allows you to send text messages with minimal effort. All you need to do is upload your list of contacts, type your message, and either send it immediately or schedule it for a later date.

Sending mass texts through mobile devices is considered P2P SMS Text messaging (person-to-person) and is not ideal for business communication. The ideal business communication method is A2P (Application to person).

This allows businesses to send mass texts (upwards of 100) without the risk of getting marked as spam, with a better delivery and response rate. A2P SMS text messaging is enabled through business texting software.

With additional features like scheduling and automating messages if driving customer engagement is your primary goal, then a mass texting software like Emitrr is the best medium for texting multiple contacts without using group messaging.

I don't know about you, but the amount of spam and possibly malicious SMS messages I receive these days is overwhelming. Daily, I probably receive anywhere from 20-50 such text messages on my Android device. Although stopping this altogether is next to impossible, you can at least block and report any of those messages that come in.

This can be a time-consuming effort when your phone number falls prey to a deluge of spam, so why would you bother with this? First and foremost, some of those attempts are not just spam but malicious attempts to compromise your device. Should you tap on a malicious link in a message, you could fall victim to ransomware, which could encrypt your data. Once that happens, you might not be able to retrieve that data until you pay the ransom.

The only things you'll need for this are an updated Android device and an SMS message to block. I will say that you should be careful with reporting and blocking these messages. Only block those messages you truly suspect to be malicious.

After tapping Report Spam, the message will then be moved to the Spam & Blocked folder in Messages. If you've accidentally reported a message, you can find it by tapping the three-dot menu at the top right of the Message app. Tap that and then tap Spam & Blocked (Figure 5).

What you'll need: The only things you'll need to make this work are an Android device with a data plan (for the sending of texts). The feature is found in Android Messages, which is pre-installed on all Android phones, so there are no apps to install. It's all there, ready to go.

And that's all there is to scheduling text message sending in Android. You can use this to either schedule a message to a friend or family member or even to send yourself reminders, without having to rely on an awkward (and sometimes jarring) alarm. I use this feature regularly to ensure I don't miss or forget something when a noisy alarm won't do.

But iMessage is only available to Apple users. When an Android user texts someone with an iPhone, their message appears as an SMS or MMS message, because Apple doesn't support RCS. Hence the pixelated images and buggy group chats.

I'm looking for a app to block certain people from sending me text messages. What would be nice if they would get a response back "Sender is no longer accepting text messages." or whatever i would like it to say. I have a few options in my head, but we will keep them there.

To be quite honest, half the time that people get spam messages is because they have responded to a message by telling them to stop. Then the sender knows that there is a person on the other end of the line and so sends more instead of ceasing.

Wow that stinks. That is why I use Google Voice for texts and when I give out my # to people I just met. It has the option to block individuals. I'm Verizon in the USA and have all texts blocked. I think to block individual users you have to request it- I don't know of any apps. On ATT there is no way to block users at all. Yay for Google Voice!

I CAN send texts to anyone. I CANNOT receive text messages from Andriod devices on Verizon. All other carriers work. HOWEVER... if the Verizon devices attach a picture or respond as part of a group message it will come through.

Background/aims: Reproducible outcomes in clinical trials depend on adherence to study protocol. Short message service (also known as text message) reminders have been shown to improve clinical trial adherence in the United States and elsewhere. However, due to systematic differences in mobile data plans, languages, and technology, these systems are not easily translated to international settings.

Methods: To gauge technical capabilities for international projects, we developed SMSMessenger, an automated Android application that uses a US server to send medication reminders to participants in a clinical trial in St. Petersburg, Russia (Zinc for HIV disease among alcohol users-a randomized controlled trial in the Russia Alcohol Research Collaboration on HIV/AIDS cohort). The application is downloaded once onto an Android study phone. When it is time for the text message reminders to be sent, study personnel access the application on a local phone, which in turn accesses the existing clinical trial database hosted on a US web server. The application retrieves a list of participants with the following information: phone number, whether a message should be received at that time, and the appropriate text of the message. The application is capable of storing multiple outgoing messages. With a few clicks, text messages are sent to study participants who can reply directly to the message. Study staff can check the local phone for incoming messages. The SMSMessenger application uses an existing clinical trial database and is able to receive real-time updates. All communications between the application and server are encrypted, and phone numbers are stored in a secure database behind a firewall. No sensitive data are stored on the phone, as outgoing messages are sent through the application and not by messaging features on the phone itself. Messages are sent simultaneously to study participants, which reduces the burden on local study staff. Costs and setup are minimal. The only local requirements are an Android phone and data plan.

Conclusion: The SMSMessenger technology could be modified to be applied anywhere in the world, in any language, script, or alphabet, and for many different purposes. The novel application of this existing low-cost technology can improve the usefulness of text messaging in advancing the goals of international clinical trials.

Using the Mesh System, I can make/recieve calls just fine. Also, I can text message (imessage) apple to apple users just fine and send pictures to them easily. However, the annoying part about this mesh system is I cannot send picture messages to Android users using the mesh system. I have to connect directly to the Spectrum cable box wifi or walk outside for 5G service for me to be able to text android phones a picture message. I know its a Deco issue, because I can send them via the Spectrum wifi or cell service just fine. Only when connected to the Mesh system does it not work. Occassionally if I reboot my phone I can get a picture message out through the Deco's, but I'll get "Not Delivered" on the very next one.
