A couple of ideas:
- ARK needs a Debian/Ubuntu easy packaging solution, we'll probably
create one later this year
- ARK needs a Wordpress-like first configuration solution, we'll do
some tests
- it might be interesting to develop a LaTeX or Python ReportLab
extension to export data
- we need to customize the Stratigraphic Unit data sheet (we need some
more fields)
We believe in an easy approach to web-based recording systems in
archaeology, and there are some ideas about writing some tutorials to
explain how to use, modify and extend the ARK systems, but we need
your help.
First of all, we need some help to write down a quick and dirty guide
to SU customization, anyone interested?
Thanks and keep ARK rockin'

We're testing some modifications to the ARK code (small things,
really) and in the same time loading our data in this custom ARK
installation, so at this time our server seems more like a mess than a
nice-and-flawlessly-running archaeological database.
Indeed, we're progressively getting into the PHP code, which is
well commented but quite complicated for me -- I don't know much about
PHP.

While working on ARK code, I'll be happy to write some tutorials about
customization, although it will require some time in the next few
months. I'll report in this ML every progress about that.

Unfortunately, I'll not be at CAA, but there are good chances I'll be
in London several times in the next months.
Can I write here in ML if I need some help to understand the ARK code,
or should I contact someone directly via email?
Have a nice day
