Hello Everyone,

I am happy to report that I have been able to make some significant progress with getting the bibliographies reposted to a permanent place on the web.  I have not finished combining the files.  Once I have, hopefully by this weekend, They will be uploaded and linked from the page below.

See new web address below.

Also if anyone has suggestions or information that we can include on the SAMH website, please do let me know.  Our goal with the web presence is to be a reliable stop for those interested in Ancient Warfare, and to remain a reliable gateway to information permanently.

I would like to thank both Mark and Patrick for their valuable assistance in creating and recovering the bibliography files.  Membership to SAMH is free.  If you would like to join, send me a separate email (not on the list) and I can get you added.  There is only a fee IF you want the "printed" hardcopy version of the newsletter.  The next newsletter is currently being worked on, which consists of the announcement that the SAMH has returned to an active status. That role will be expanded throughout the coming year.  Feel free to invite people who might be interested to the discussion list or to utilize our new website.

With all of that in mind, this list remains a "discussion group" and is not officially associated with the Society of Ancient Military Historians (SAMH).  But membership is open to anyone interested, there is not a professional qualification requirement of any sort, and unlikely to be in the future.  For most of us we do this because we have some love for the subject, that includes those of us who are (or in the process) 'professionally' in the field.

Thanks for all the help from everyone.

Dan

Hi Everyone,

The Bibliographies are finally up, permanently!  Again Many thanks go to both Mark and Patrick for the effort in the first place, and having the sense to keep backup files.

I have finally got them up and they seem to be working for the first four.  If anyone has an technical difficulty please let me know so we can get that fixed.
