Location, Location, Location is the 2nd annual Thanksgiving weekend hack-a-thon at Arcosanti.
We’re looking to experiment with location and how it applies to mobile software, hardware, LED Art, the internet of things and what you can bring that revolves around the concept of location awareness.
We’d love your participation and/or sponsorship for this years event.
For Participants - Lodging space is available on a first come first serve basis. There is also space for camping. Arcosanti has a cafe and bar. Everyone is encouraged to share idea’s. Time will scheduled for presentations,past projects, videos and music. We have a limit on the number of participants so please rsvp via Eventbright. There is also a Facebook page.
To Sponsor - We’re looking for software evangelists, cloud hosting, mobile computing and micro controller hardware, energy drinks, healthy snacks, stickers, prizes. Recognition will be provided on the Facebook event page, twitter and other web sites. All donations are tax deductible.
Whats’ Arcosanti?
Arcosanti is an urban laboratory focused on innovative design, community, and environmental accountability. Our goal is to actively pursue lean alternatives to urban sprawl based on Paolo Soleri’s theory of compact city design, Arcology(architecture + ecology).
Built by over 7,000 volunteers since the commencement of the project in 1970, Arcosanti provides various mixed-use buildings and public spaces where people live, work, visit, and participate in educational and cultural programs.
