IT IS WRITTEN..........
It came to pass
It is written 3221 in the Word of God, the Words “And It Came to Pass.”
The Lord wants me to remind you that whatever the natural situation you have
been experiencing, that it will “come to pass.” It is not
permanent. It is only temporary. Begin to claim those Words in your
own behalf. Say it came to pass, so I know that the end is in sight
here. Amen? Apostles heard from God, then spoke what they
heard. Then the manifestation occurred. Then you could say “it came
to pass.”
It is beneficial that we study the history of the apostles. You may want
to begin with these scriptures…
(Acts 4:31) And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they
were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they
spake the word of God with boldness.
(Acts 4:32) And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and
of one soul: neither said any of them that aught of the things which he
possessed was his own; but they had all things common.
(Acts 4:33) And with great power gave the apostles witness of the
resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.
(Acts 4:34) Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as
were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the
things that were sold,
(Acts 4:35) And laid them down at the apostles' feet: and distribution
was made unto every man according as he had need.
What did we get out of these verses?
According to Acts 4:31-35 Prayer brought:
A shaking (they were moved by the Holy Spirit)
Infilling or empowerment of the Holy Spirit
Boldness to preach the word
This witness of the Holy Spirit caused people to become believers
The Holy Spirit brought unity
They shared their belongings with each other
They were unselfish
They became powerful witnesses
There was no lack among them
There was meeting of needs
When the disciples got too busy meeting the daily needs, they realized that
someone should take care of this so that they could stay in prayer and in the
word.
(Acts 6:2) Then the twelve called the multitude of the disciples unto
them, and said, It is not reason that we should leave the word of God, and
serve tables.
(Acts 6:3) Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest
report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business.
<I style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal">
What characteristics did they look for?
full of the Holy Ghost
wise
honest
(Acts 6:4) But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the
ministry of the word.
The Apostle‘s main job was to give themselves continually to prayer and
ministry of the word. If others took the responsibility of natural duties
off the disciples, then the ministers could pray more which benefit them all.
(Acts 6:5) And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and they chose
Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost, and Philip, and Prochorus,
and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas a proselyte of Antioch:
They all recognized the value of appointing
helpers.
(Acts 6:6) Whom they set before the d, they laid their hands on them.
( acts 6:7) And the word of God increased; and the number of the
disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests
were obedient to the faith. (it was beneficial to many)
(Acts 6:8) And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and
miracles among the people.
There was prayer and fasting before an
assignment.
(Acts 13:2) As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost
said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.
(Acts 13:3) And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on
them, they sent them away.
(Acts 13:4) So they, being sent forth by the Holy Ghost, departed unto Seleucia;
and from thence they sailed to Cyprus.
There is also prayer of dedication…or
commendation.
(Acts 14:23) And when they had ordained them elders in every
church, and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord, on whom
they believed.
commend—to place along side, to present
ordain—to select or comment
Things happened when they went to prayer.
Prayer can expose the devil(gift of discernment)…It can cause the gift of
miracles to go into operation…
(Acts 16:16) And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain
damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters
much gain by soothsaying:
(Acts 16:17) The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men
are the servants of the most high God, which show unto us the way of salvation.
(Acts 16:18) And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned
and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out
of her. And he came out the same hour.
(Acts 16:19) And when her masters saw that the hope of their gains was gone,
they caught Paul and Silas, and drew them into the marketplace unto the rulers,
(Acts 16:20) And brought them to the magistrates, saying, These men,
being Jews, do exceedingly trouble our city,
(Acts 16:21) And teach customs, which are not lawful for us to receive,
neither to observe, being Romans.
(Acts 16:22) And the multitude rose up together against them: and the
magistrates rent off their clothes, and commanded to beat them.
(Acts 16:23) And when they had laid many stripes upon them, they cast
them into prison, charging the jailer to keep them safely:
(Acts 16:24) Who, having received such a charge, thrust them into the
inner prison, and made their feet fast in the stocks.
(Acts 16:25) And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto
God: and the prisoners heard them.
(Acts 16:26) And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the
foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were
opened, and every one's bands were loosed.
(Acts 16:27) And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and
seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed
himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled.
(Acts 16:28) But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do thyself no
harm: for we are all here.
(Acts 16:29) Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came
trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas,
(Acts 16:30) And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be
saved?
(Acts 16:31) And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou
shalt be saved, and thy house.
(Acts 16:32) And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all
that were in his house.
(Acts 16:33) And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed
their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, straightway.
(Acts 16:34) And when he had brought them into his house, he set meat
before them, and rejoiced, believing in God with all his house
(Acts 16:35) And when it was day, the magistrates sent the sergeants,
saying, Let those men go.
(Acts 16:36) And the keeper of the prison told this saying to Paul, The
magistrates have sent to let you go: now therefore depart, and go in peace.
Prayer can be for petitioning the Lord.
(1 John 5:14) And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we
ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
(1 John 5:15) And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know
that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
Prayer can be for sanctification.
(Acts 13:2) As they ministered to the
Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the
work whereunto I have called them.
(Acts 13:3) And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on
them, they sent them away.
Prayer can be for deliverance.
(Luke 4:18) The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed
me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted,
to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to
set at liberty them that are bruised,
There is the prayer of faith.
(James 5:15) And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord
shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
Prayer is mentioned 114 times in the Word of God.
One thing is for sure… IT will come to pass when you pray…whatever it is
The deciples asked Him to teach them how to pray.
(Luke 11:1) And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain
place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to
pray, as John also taught his disciples.
(Luke 11:2) And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which
art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in
heaven, so in earth.
To begin with, you are to acknowledge the Father and the power of His name
Desire for His kingdom displayed here on earth
His will to be accomplished here on earth the same as it is in heaven;
(example…there is no sickness in heaven…no poverty…no crime…)
You are petitioning for your daily needs to be met
You are asking for forgiveness when needed
You are forgiving those who have sinned against you
You are requesting deliverance from evil or the schemes of the devil
Luke 11:3) Give us day by day our daily bread.
(Luke 11:4) And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that
is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.
God never tires of hearing you ask…
for anything you need or desire… (Luke 11:5) And he said unto them, Which
of you shall have a friend, and shall go unto him at midnight, and say unto
him, Friend, lend me three loaves;
(Luke 11:6) For a friend of mine in his journey is come to me, and I have
nothing to set before him?
(Luke 11:7) And he from within shall answer and say, Trouble me not: the
door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give
thee.
(Luke 11:8) I say unto you, Though he will not rise and give him, because
he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him as
many as he needeth.
(Luke 11:9) And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and
ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
(Luke 11:10) For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh
findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
(Luke 11:11) If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father,
will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a
serpent?
<I style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal">(Luke 11:12) Or if
he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?
(Luke 11:13) If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto
your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to
them that ask him?
(Luke 11:14) And he was casting out a devil, and it was dumb. And it came
to pass, when the devil was gone out, the dumb spake; and the people wondered.
It is His pleasure to give you the desires of
your heart.
(Psalms 37:4) Delight thyself also in
the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
(Psalms 37:5) Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he
shall bring it to pass.
Don’t hesitate to ask him, it is His pleasure to
give you an answer.
(Philippians 2:13) For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to
do of his good pleasure.
He desires for you to have on earth those things available in heaven.
(Luke 12:32) Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good
pleasure to give you the kingdom.
He is your comfort and has great desires for you…If it is His will and you ask
according to His will…then you can expect to receive…
(Revelation 21:4) And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and
there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there
be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
(Revelation 21:5) And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make
all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and
faithful.
(Revelation 21:6)
And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the
end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life
freely.
(Revelation 21:7) He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will
be his God, and he shall be my son.
It is safe to say that prayer stirs up the Holy
Ghost and the gifts .
You are putting your attention on the Lord…
You are giving Him a chance to speak and act through you…
Get in the Spirit.
How many times have we heard the saying, ”Let’s get into the Spirit” ?
That means to tune in to the things of God and let Him speak. Do what He
tells you to do. (Matt 6:33)
(Proverbs 4:20) My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my
sayings.
(Proverbs 4:21) Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the
midst of thine heart.
(Proverbs 4:22) For they are life unto those that find them, and health
to all their flesh.
(Proverbs 4:23) Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the
issues of life.
Matt 5:11 blessed are you when people insult you... Jesus was insulted and so shall you who believe. But, believe and your reward will be heaven. Matt 5:16
Let your light shine before men.... You want the
world to see the Light of Jesus in your
life Matt 5:19 teach and practice these commamds and you will
be called great in the kingdom of heaven
Matt 5:44-45, 48... love your enemies....be perfect
as your heavenly Father is perfect Matt 6:1... do not do things to have men praise you the Father wants you to do good things, pray, and fast only for him....not for the praise and glory of
man... only when you done in secret or quiet will He reward you 6:21 for where your treasure is so is
your heart... you cannot serve
God and money 6:33-34.. seek first His kingdom and righteousness, do not worry
about tomorrow He already knows your needs
