After logging in and landing on the Available Software Distribution List, click on the down arrow next to the software to download the renewal & installation instructions per software. This step is necessary for proper installation.

SPSS Statistics is a software package used for interactive, or batched, statistical analysis. Created by IBM. SPSS is available on 2nd floor desktop computers and library circulated laptops. It is also available for student download. Please visit the student software page to enter your UTC credentials for download.

Powell Library offers students opportunities to discover their intellectual passions, explore their creative talents and engage in community with others. Our services, spaces, collections and programs promote student learning and success at UCLA and beyond!

Services include research and instructional consultations, workshops, learning and instructional technology support and writing consultations offered in partnership with the Undergraduate Writing Center.

Powell Library collections support current and emerging undergraduate curricula in the humanities, social sciences, sciences and mathematics, including interdisciplinary programs and initiatives. We are also home to our Community Collections, thematic collections co-curated by librarians and students to support lifelong learning. The Community Collections are located in the Main Reading Room on the second floor.

The Chem Annex lab can be found on the second floor of the building, directly across from the stairs. It has a Davenport Hall room number, but it can only be accessed through the Chemistry Annex. This lab seats up to 110 students and includes 12 distraction-reduced seats. There is a waiting room inside the entrance where you can study and wait for check-in to begin for your exam. The computer lab, located on the second floor of College Library, offers a variety of adjacent spaces and services to support UW-Madison teaching & learning needs related to computing and media services. Service is available within the space all hours the library is open.

As part of the DoIT InfoLab program, general access computing is available with hardware and software licensed for students, faculty, and staff use. Advanced multimedia support is provided by student staff who are available to assist at the Help Desk. In addition, the space offers video editing stations, scanners, poster printing, a large breakout room for group work, and a voice recording booth. The breakout room and recording booth can be reserved in advance.

As in other areas of the library, food and drink are allowed in the computer lab, with the expectation that people using the equipment will be cautious and avoid spills on the technology. The entire computer lab is designated as a collaborative space which means there are no limits on talking or noise in the lab unless it is extreme or disruptive.

To assist students in using the department print card in the library, faculty can arrange for the card to be checked out to identified students. Please contact Circulation at: circu...@boisestate.edu or (208) 426-1204 and provide a list of authorized students.

All computers print via the University BroncoPrint system. Printing requires either a student ID or a BroncoPrint card. BroncoPrint cards can be purchased at the Library (please see the first floor Circulation Desk for more information). Wireless printing is available. Printing in the library is set to duplex (double-sided) printing by default, but may be changed if desired.

The Learning Commons has 90 dual monitor and express desktop computers for individual or group use. Computers are first come first serve. The Main Library also houses an Information Technology Center (ITC) with 149 single monitor desktop computers on the second floor.

The Main Library has four print stations on the first floor located on the north, east and south sides, and in the Service Commons. Users can print from computers within the library or wirelessly from their own personal computers.

The University of Iowa offers pay-after-you-print printing. This allows you to print in the ITCs without having to pay ahead of time. Your University Bill will be billed monthly for all printing you do during the month.

To check your current print account balance, simply sign in to an ITC computer and your balance will display on the desktop. Or visit and sign in with your HawkID and password. Your current balance is listed in the Summary box near the top of the page.

You can connect a laptop or Apple mobile device to a monitor in a group space using either an HDMI or VGA cable. If you choose to connect an Apple mobile device or macbook that does not have an HDMI or VGA port you will need to check out an adapter.

Please note the numbers of equipment listed below are how many we own and does not reflect what is currently available for checkout. For more information on equipment currently available please contact the Main Library service desk. Equipment is not reservable.

If you are not a current UI student, faculty, or staff member, you can request a Guest ID account for temporary limited access to specific computers on campus. Requests for a guest account must be made in person at the Main Library Service Desk, Hardin Library Information Desk, and the ITS Help Desk. Please remember to bring a drivers license or passport number and a current email address or telephone number.

This space offers instruction in the use of emerging technologies like 3D printing, Laser Cutting, Virtual Reality and much more. UMD students, faculty and affiliates from all academic disciplines are welcome. Learn more about the John and Stella Graves Makerspace.

Located on the second floor of the Art Library, just past the graduate student lounge. This room can be booked by UMD users for a variety of activities, with priority given to faculty, staff, and graduate students in the Studio Art, Art History, and Sociology departments. Please ask the front desk to unlock the room.

These spaces for quiet individual study can be reserved for 1 hour slots with a maximum of 4 hours per day. Reservations can be made from one week to 2 hours in advance. Reservable study carrels are open to all University of Maryland-affiliated library users.

This meeting space is located in the front wing of McKeldin Library on the first floor past the computers. The Conversation Room is available for a reservation of up to 4 hours. Reservations can be made from one week to 2 hours in advance.

Only for faculty and graduate students who work as instructors. A large desk with ergonomic chair allows for quiet, individual work. There is also a small table and additional chairs for those who need to complete group work.

A study space for caregivers and their families. This room offers adult and kid-sized furniture as well as toys, crafts, books, puzzles, and more, so caregivers can focus on their work while keeping children occupied. Learn more.

This study carrel is located in the front wing of McKeldin Library on the first floor past the computer lab. The Focus Room is available for a 4 hour reservation. Reservations can be made from one week to 2 hours in advance.

Intended for new mothers studying or working at UMD, this room is private, lockable, and has a chair, stool, desk, and refrigerator. To use the room, stop by the Library Services Desk to sign out the key, then return it when you're done. There's no time limit, but please be considerate of others who may wish to use the room.

Visit this reading room to access materials from Special Collections & University Archives. Students are welcome to study in this room without appointment. All visitors will be asked to sign in before entering the reading room and store non-permitted items in a locker outside the room.

There are two alcoves in the back wing of these floors (one on the north side and one on the south side). Nestled between carrels and book stacks, these alcoves are available for quiet study on a first come, first served basis. Each alcove contains 2 semi-enclosed study pods.

Near the entrance of McKeldin you'll find numerous PC and Mac computers, along with printers, copiers and scanners as well as spaces to charge and use your own device. You can print a paper quickly on the way to class or stay a while to work on an assignment; there are no time limits. A self-serve location offering specialized equipment and software for converting old physical media to digital files. Learn more about the Memory Lab, including the full list of supported media formats.

In addition to housing current newspapers, magazines, and journals, this space is available as a study area. There's a variety of furniture, including carrels, large tables, and lounge chairs, as well as stations for media viewing.

This covered outdoor space has 7 tables with chairs and offers a great view of McKeldin mall. It can be reserved by library partners and campus administrators for special events, either on its own or together with the Portico Room. When there are no scheduled events, students are welcome to study here on a first come, first served basis. Learn more about its reservation policy and fees.
