It's not every day you see hundreds of scientists in white lab coats taking to the streets in a show of political force.  But that's what happened yesterday in the Canadian capital of Ottawa.

The protesters say the Canadian government is muzzling its scientists and slashing environmental research.

My piece, which airs today on The World a few minutes after the half hour (check air times and stations here), highlights one of the unlikely triggers of this protest -- a research facility deep in the Canadian forest.
