In early March, I traveled to Australia to report a series of radio stories for NOVA and The World -- everything from magnetic termites to how one community is keeping its residents safe from saltwater crocodile attacks. They're airing once each week for the next 5 Wednesdays, starting this afternoon.
Today we travel back in time 95 million years. In what is now Australia’s Outback, a herd of dinosaurs left behind footprints that have been interpreted as a stampede to escape a giant tyrannosaur. But now a young paleontologist is suggesting a very different interpretation.
The story airs 20 minutes after the hour on The World, and I'll have the audio available on
my website by tomorrow.
Thanks!
