Argunet doesn't start

I can't start Argunet. I hope you can help me.

After installing Argunet.exe and Java JRE 10.0.2 I get this message everytime I start Argunet:

Hey Mark,

sorry for you having trouble working with Argunet.

There are bad news and good news: It seems to me that Argunet is not compatible with newer Java-environments (10+). The bad news is that there won’t by any further Argunet-releases and, hence, these problems won’t get fixed. Argunet still works with Java 8 for which a recent updated version exists (https://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/index-jsp-138363.html). So you could use Argunet with Java 8.  However, there wont be any further public updates of Java 8 (https://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/java-se-support-roadmap.html).  

You might also consider to use another tool in order to avoid further frustration. The former Argunet-Team switched to the new Argdown (that is the good news). Some background information about the differences can be found here.
