[argunet-users] How do you computer the inferential density of a map?

How do you computer the inferential density of an argument map?

If I look at argument maps at http://www.argunet.org/debates/ the
inferential density is shown below the number of nodes and edges in
the map concerned.

A reference for the theoretic background would also be nice to get.
