Job Description - Director of Development for AACI
Responsibilities:
Initiate, direct, and execute all aspects of fund raising and public relations for AACI.
Develop new and expanded sources of donations for AACI inside and outside of Israel.
Increase the awareness of AACI by the media and general public.
Identify potential donors; building and maintaining relationships with individual donors as well as with funding organizations, including representatives of foundations, corporations and government ministries.
Manage all fundraising campaigns and events
Work with the American Friends of AACI organization to enable them to increase their support for AACI.
Arrange representation of AACI at community events, meetings, conferences etc. to promote organizations goals
Develop written and financial materials as required to support development and PR activities.
Ensure that fund raising efforts are cost effective.
Propose modifications to the strategy and/or public relations posture of the organization to assist in the success of development campaigns.
Manage a development staff of 2 additional employees; work with a cadre of AACI board members, other volunteers, and staff members to assist in development efforts.
Achieve a significant improvement in the amount of donations flowing into AACI.
