Pre-release of ArGoSoft Mail Server .NET with DKIM support

Hello everyone,

We have a new Pre-release version of Mail Server.  It is v1.1.0.54.

Obsolete DomainKeys have been replaced with DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail).

Keys, set up for DomainKeys will still work.

Current version signs only OUTGOING mail.  Incoming mail is not checked for DKIM signatures.

It supports both, rsa-sha1 and rsa-sha256 algorithms, also both canonicalization methods (simple and relaxed) for both, headers, and body.

To obtain DKIM keys, you can use our wizard at

There are other sites, where you can generate keys, but currently we support only XML format for private keys, and default standard for DKIM uses PEM format, so, it is better to generate keys on our site.  It will provide with properly formatted keys.

In the official release, by default, we will be supporting PEM format for private keys too.  It is to keep things consistent.

Key length our wizard generates is currently 1024.  We will be adding support of 2048 by the time we have an official release.

Side positive effect of DKIM implementation:  we had to add 8BITMIME SMTP extension support to server.  Without it, 8bit encoded email messages were not getting proper DKIM signatures.

New version, which will be handling DKIM more fully is coming soon.
