Hi Archie

Is there a unintentional limit in networkspeed, when performing backup?

Because i make backup to a networkdrive… and never goes above 40 mbit (circa)

CPU when performing backup is about 20% on mailserver machine.

But moving a normal file no problem at 1000 mbit..

Regards

Ken

I don't put any limits there, but it is doing "zipping" as you go, and possibly, it is slow over the network.

Maybe you should try to do backup locally, and copy over resulting backup to network drive after it is done.  It may be faster.

Just triede.

Backup to lokal SSD (desktop) 6 minuts (1,93GB)
Backup to remote server 8 minuts (1,93GB)

but in the first, i had to use ca. 2 minuttes to transfere the file to the other drive..

On NO time, the SSD or CPU/RAM filled mostly "humming" about 30% use..

(its all run on older Intel Nuc with i3 cpu and 8 gb og ram on windows 10 professional)
