2020 has been a year of pivoting to virtual formats, and that's exactly what Chestnut Hill College did this year for the 9th Annual Harry Potter Academic Conference. Conference co-founders, Dr. Karen Wendling and Dr. Patrick McCauley, along with the hundreds of conference attendees, moved to Zoom for the two-day virtual event, which featured a diverse group of speakers and Potter scholars from all over the world.
Following the successful re-openings of Melbourne and London, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child has returned triumphant to the Lyric theatre New York in its new reimagined format, while in Hamburg, Harry Potter und das verwunschene Kind celebrated its German-language two-part premiere last Sunday.
The original theatrical releases in cinemas are usually considered as the intended format for the movie. However the original version is recorded and distributed, each scene is (usually) carefully composed to work in a particular aspect ratio (and this usually stays the same for the whole movie unless you are Wes Anderson who used at least three different ratios for The Grand Budapest Hotel). Movies are edited for particular effects and the aspect ratio is part of that effect. Whatever the original digital or film camera records is irrelevant as the version this source is edited into is what the director wanted audiences to see (including plenty of messing about with colour and special effects added in post production).
With a wide proliferation of different forms of distribution it is hard to be precise about which versions of the Harry Potter movies have been distributed digitally. But they were all originally released in 2.39:1 ratio widescreen cinema formats (whether shown digitally, from film or even in 3D). Some digital releases are different (the Amazon versions, for example, are in 1.78:1) but this is not the intended framing for the movies and will be inferior to the directors' intents. Some DVD, BlueRay and online versions do respect the original aspect ratio so you don't have to put up with the inferior versions from Amazon if you don't want to.
Again your question is difficult to answer. You almost have to go through each film and examine the director, the cinematographer, which camera they chose and which film format (digital / Blu-Ray /compression etc) Warner Bros. chose for each film when each was released for a 10-11 year time span when TV's finally tipped the scale and went from a "box" for UHF/VHF broadcasts using TV rabbit ears to a home entertainment system in your house with Dolby Sound and High Def picture you got by having to pay for Cable TV. used to only get in a cinema or movie theater pre-1960s to 1999. Great question. That's it.
Then I mashed them up. There were a few discrepancies and differences between the two lists and no consistent format for the spell descriptions, so I spent quite a while editing them for consistency, clarity, and visual appeal.
"Was all excited for this book as I grew up with harry potter. Stood in line, got the book, and went home. When I got home I opened the book, that's where the excitement turned into disappointment. I knew the book was based on the play, what I didn't know is that it was pretty much a photocopy of the script. If I could return the book I would."

The decision to make the Harry Potter remake a show instead of a new series of movies, however, means it will feel distinct from what has come before. In a TV show format, the Harry Potter remake will also be able to more fully adapt each of Rowling's novels free from the constraints of fitting the stories into two-hour movies. That being said, the TV show format also raises a number of questions, including some regarding budget and whether seven multiple-episode TV seasons will feature the same production value that the films did.

The Harry Potter franchise has been the major digital holdout in trade publishing, the analog (until recently) of the Beatles in music. No more: the Pottermore Shop features all of the Harry Potter titles in e-book and digital audiobook formats. The e-books are available in the standard EPUB as well as Amazon Kindle formats, and the audiobooks are in MP3. The EPUB and MP3 files are DRM-free.
However, the ability to download from multiple sites is not what gives you flexibility, because you can do that with other e-books anyway. The flexibility is being able to buy a DRM-free EPUB file and convert it to other formats for other devices via free tools such as Calibre.
Abstract: Story understanding involves many perceptual and cognitive subprocesses, from perceiving individual words, to parsing sentences, to understanding the relationships among the story characters. We present an integrated computational model of reading that incorporates these and additional subprocesses, simultaneously discovering their fMRI signatures. Our model predicts the fMRI activity associated with reading arbitrary text passages, well enough to distinguish which of two story segments is being read with 74% accuracy. This approach is the first to simultaneously track diverse reading subprocesses during complex story processing and predict the detailed neural representation of diverse story features, ranging from visual word properties to the mention of different story characters and different actions they perform. We construct brain representation maps that replicate many results from a wide range of classical studies that focus each on one aspect of language processing, and offers new insights on which type of information is processed by different areas involved in language processing. Additionally, this approach is promising for studying individual differences: it can be used to create single subject maps that may potentially be used to measure reading comprehension and diagnose reading disorders.

where did you download the file from? what is the file format? avi, mkv, m4v, mp4, etc. is it SD or HD? iPhone's can't play HD content. (although the 4 may be able to play HD content, i am not sure...)
This is just the first novel of the series; over the next few months, I hope to similarly translate the other four novels into epub format as well. Bookmark this page and/or keep an eye on this blog for additional downloads.
At least that is what they looked like the brief time I saw them. They could have been a different large format camera I guess. The reason I mention it is it wouldn't surprise me if they used the same cameras in the newer film.

The seven stories, which have sold an estimated 450 million copies worldwide, went on sale on Tuesday at the Pottermore site set up by Rowling. The website's online store (shop.pottermore.com) is the exclusive retailer of Harry Potter ebooks and digital audio books, which have been launched in English only. Other language editions are expected in the coming weeks.
Rowling, who recently announced she was turning to adult fiction, long resisted allowing the Harry Potter stories to be turned into digital format, but eventually decided that technological progress could not be stopped.
