XDA Developers was founded by developers, for developers. It is now a valuable resource for people who want to make the most of their mobile devices, from customizing the look and feel to adding new functionality.

In my case I wasn't able to see the application in settings > apps > downloaded app list because I have already tried to uninstall it.

What worked for me was: adb shell pm uninstall com.packagename

I think my problem was because somehow I had installed the app on the Primary and Guest user and couldn't uninstall them from neither one.

If you are reading this than probably you tried everything (ie. uninstall, clean cache, clean second space etc which you can do in phone) and your problem is still not resolved.I faced the same issue and took me a day to figure it out.But I found solution end of the day. Here is what you have to do.

If you are coming from cross platform such as flutter or react native, You will not see gradlemenu. To get that
a) go to Android folder then app .
b) open build.gradle file,
c) click on Open for Editing in Android Studio.
d) you should see gradle. Now you can follow step 3

Since lollipop it looks like the app preferences are associated with the signing key. Since the debug version of the app uses a different signing key, you have to completely uninstall the old debug app, including data.

On Samsung Galaxy TAB S2, Android 7.0, after clicking on setting -> Apps and then clicking on the app for which the error was displayed, I clicked on the 3 dots at the top right and there is an option there "uninstall of all users"

I had this issue on a Xiaomi device when i had a debug APK previously installed and try to install the release one from playstore. Even after uninstalling the app, playstore still showed that error, i reeboted cleared cache, but everything got failed. At last i found the solution by going through playstore settings -> my apps and notifications -> library -> where you can see all your installed files directory. Remove your app from that list and try again. Now the error will be gone.

When I go to download the app from the app store after deleting the debug app, I get this alert. I couldnt fix that through my device. So, I connected my device to my laptop and ran this command to find the package name.

Likely you have a framework that has to install with your app, and that is what is actually erring. If you use xamarin, phone gap or any other development platform, make sure to go to installed apps and uninstall the framework.

The existing app should be un-installed by going to settings-> Apps->...you may find the message that "this application is not installed for this user". Such apps can not be installed in the current user. If that is the case then, change the user/profile and then try to uninstall the app.

I uninstalled my app, but the play store was still giving me the error message that the app was still installed. Even though the additional users option was disabled, another profile on my device (Samsung Galaxy Tab A) still had the app installed which blocked my app from being re-installed.

I went to my phone setting and deleted the Guest user and then turned off Multiple Users option after that I was able to download my deployed app from playstore, as well as build and run the react native app which was failing, hope it helps someone in future.

For my case this all solutions doesn't apply, I logged into my emulator with the Gmail I use in the play store, and stopped using it long without knowing the case, I just had to logout from every other device except for my android device and my pc. The steps are as follows ->Gmail App -> Click on User Icon -> Manage Your Google Account -> Security -> Manage all devices -> logout from the devices you want.Check after 30 minutes or 1 hour. you will be able to download the apps from the play store.

Snapchat is among the most popular social media apps out there, but can users log in to their accounts on a second device? Most major social media apps, including Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook, allow users be logged in on multiple devices. However, since its debut, Snapchat has been a more restricted social platform. Snapchatters can send Snaps and messages to other users, but they disappear after 24 hours. Additionally, the app notifies users if someone takes a screenshot of their Story or chat.

Keeping with this restricted approach, Snapchat does not allow multi-device logins, preventing users from signing in to their account on more than one smartphone. This means that Snapchatters can only use their account on one smartphone at a time. While users can install the app on another phone and log into their account, Snapchat will log them out on the previous device. While this is an annoying restriction, it's a security feature that prevents a user's Snapchat account from being misused. In addition to this, Snapchat doesn't allow multiple users to log in to a shared account.

Although users can't access the app on two smartphones, they can still log in to Snapchat for Web while simultaneously using the app on their smartphone. All they have to do is head to the official Snapchat web login page, enter their username or email ID and password. While logging in to the web version for the first time, Snapchatters with two-factor authentication will receive a six-digit code on their registered mobile number, which they will need to enter before using Snapchat on their desktop or laptop.

Notably, Snapchat's web version doesn't allow users to view Snaps sent by their friends, post pictures to their story, or view anyone's story. However, users can send text messages and Snaps if they have a webcam. The AR filters and Lenses still work on Snapchat for Web. The web version also lets users make voice and video calls.

Snapchat isn't the only app that's delayed introducing multi-device logins. WhatsApp only recently introduced a Linked Devices feature, letting users access their account on multiple smartphones. Given that competing social media platforms allow users to log into more than one device, there's a good chance that Snap will release a similar feature at some point. Until then, the only way to access Snapchat on two devices is by using it on a smartphone and the web.

When I try to share a song through Pandora I get an error in the pandora app that says "unable to share. Please try again later". This randomly started to happen. I have restarted my phone, uninstalled both snapchat and pandora and reinstalled, and still have the same issue. All applications and phone are up to date. I also tried with Facebook and other social media accounts and I have no problems.

Lately I haven't been able to share to Snapchat. I have uninstalled and reinstalled just like other listeners have reported. I have done everything as suggested. Is there any solution yet to resolving this issue? I also have made sure everything is updated as suggested.

I have a galaxy s22 and I have not been able to share via snapchat either. My mobile carrier is Verizon. Please fix! Apparently this thread has been open for a month and no resolution. I pay for pandora and this is not cool!

I have a Galaxy S6 Edge and recently started using Snapchat. Each time I use the app my phone gets extremely hot and the warning notification pops up. Is this normal? Has anyone else experienced this?

That's certainly a great question, jhull504. While I do wish there would be a setting change, the heating of the device is expected particularly when using while charging. You find that to be the case when not using apps like Snapchat as well. For safety reasons, I do recommend avoiding using the device where the heat can make it uncomfortable to the touch.

We are here to help, jhull504. The application Snapchat requires frequent use of the camera. This can cause the device to get hot. Just normal use of the camera can cause the device to get hot. Have you noticed if your battery drains more quickly also? Are you using the device while it is plugged in?

I recently lost the contents of a micro-SD card and hadn't backed up the contents recently enough. Luckily, I noticed that the pictures I was missing happen to be in /storage/emulated/0/DCIM/.thumbnails on my Android 5.1 device. The sad thing is I cannot get to those files to do anything with them on my device. The only way I even knew that they were there is because ASTRO File Manager brought them up when I searched for pictures. I would love to be able to put these in a safe place and hoped to be able to do so via my computer. Does anyone know of a way to get my computer (Windows 7) to recognize this file? (Naturally, I told my computer to view hidden files, so that's not the issue.) All I can see is /Internal storage and /SD card (not /storage). If you have a workaround, please let me know too. If I can move (or better yet copy) these photos to another place on my phone and then move them, that would be absolutely wonderful.
