5th Annual Winter Watershed Conference -- February 1 - 3, 2012
The Little Colorado River RC&D's 5th Annual Winter Watershed Conference will be held February 1 - 3 at Licano's Conference Center in Show Low. This year's conference is titled "Water Issues in Arizona's Little Colorado River Plateau: Natural Resources and Economic Development." In addition to talks focusing on the watershed and groundwater, the agenda features presentations on potash mining, 4FRI, the ADEQ general pesticide permit, and the Petrified Forest expansion. Met Tower Hearing for juwi Wind's Apache District Wind Farm -- Thursday, January 19
A public hearing for a meteorological tower for juwi Wind's Apache District Wind Farm project has been scheduled for January 19 at 6 pm in the Board of Supervisors Chambers at the Navajo County Complex in Holbrook. The project is located approximately 13 miles southwest of Holbrook, on the east side of State Route 377, on land owned by an Aztec Land and Cattle Company subsidiary.
