Aztec Area Plan

The Aztec Area Plan is intended to guide future development of land owned by Aztec Land and Cattle Company, including about 356 square miles in the area between Holbrook, Joseph City, Heber, and Snowflake (shown above). The Plan describes future residential areas as well as areas for potential wind farms, solar power plants, and other types of projects. The Plan also includes a information about existing roads, power lines, and other infrastructure.

You can download
the Plan on the Navajo County website. Note that it is 86 megabytes. It took us about 20 minutes to download it, but it was well worth the wait.

Projected Future Circulation Routes Map

The Projected Future Circulation Routes Map (below) is already part of the Navajo County Comprehensive Plan. At the hearing on January 20, proposed modifications to the map (not shown here) will be discussed along with the adoption of the Southern/Navajo Apache County Sub-Regional Transportation Plan and the Navajo County Central Area Transportation Study.
