Updated Schedule for Draft Renewable
Energy Ordinance
Navajo
County has an updated schedule for the draft Ordinance for
Renewable Energy Generation Facilities. Thanks very much to Greg Loper
for
providing this information.
- Thursday, August 19:
The Planning & Zoning Commission hearing for August 19
(tomorrow) has been canceled.
- Tuesday,
August 24: There is an item on next
Tuesday’s (August 24) Board of Supervisors agenda for the Board to
provide direction to staff on the draft Ordinance. The meeting begins
at 9:00 a.m.
The agenda item is NOT a public hearing. That is, it is not open to the
public to speak and there will not be any public input
during the discussion of the item.
However, the public CAN speak to the
draft Ordinance (or to anything) during the “Call to the Public”
portion of the
agenda. It is at the beginning of the meeting. Speakers are limited to
5
minutes each. Note that the Board is prohibited to respond to anything
brought up during the “Call to the Public”.
If you want to speak during the "Call to the Public," be sure to fill
out a sign-up sheet before the meeting and give it to the staff.
- Thursday, September 16: At this point
the next public hearing is scheduled before the Planning & Zoning
Commission on Thursday, September 16, 2010 – beginning at 6:00 p.m. (at
the Navajo County Board of Supervisors’ Chambers at the County Complex
in Holbrook). The staff hopes to make a new draft Ordinance available
prior to the hearing.
