Monitoring Station in Snowflake
Everyone:
FYI…
On June 23, the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) successfully installed an “EBAM” portable particulate monitor on the roof of the town of Snowflake justice court building, located at 145 S. Main St., near downtown Snowflake (please see the below photos).
This unit is currently operational, and real-time data will be available on-line beginning in approximately mid-July. The Web address is: http://www.phoenixvis.net/PPMmain.aspx
ADEQ’s portable particulate monitors record hourly average concentrations of particulates, which have been linked to health and visibility concerns.
ADEQ would like to thank the town of Snowflake for support and assistance with this project. It is our hope that data obtained by this EBAM station will be of significant benefit to residents of the Snowflake-Taylor-Cedar Hills region and to local governments.
Again, in a few weeks, the above Web page will begin to display data from this new monitoring station. Please let me know if you have questions.
Sincerely,
Byron James
