Navajo County will be holding two public meetings to discuss proposed amendments to the Navajo County Comprehensive Plan, and to seek public input into the proposed amendments.

 

The meetings are scheduled as follows:

 

▪           Tuesday, March 15^th, 2010 – 6:00 p.m.

Navajo County – Public Works Department

100 East Code Talkers Drive, Holbrook

 

▪           Wednesday, March 16^th, 2010 – 6:00 p.m.

Navajo County – Show Low office

902 East Deuce of Clubs, Show Low

 

In general, the proposed Amendments include the possible inclusion of the Aztec Area Plan (designation as an Area Plan), as well as the Southern Navajo/Apache County Sub Regional Transportation Plan and the Navajo County Central Area Transportation Study, along with other minor grammatical and formatting changes.

Additionally, a special meeting and public hearing (with possible action) will be held by the Navajo County Planning and Zoning Commission on Thursday, March 31^st, beginning at 6:00 p.m., to discuss the proposed Amendments (and other Commission business). The Planning and Zoning Commission will meet in the Board of Supervisors’ Chambers at the Navajo County Complex, located at 100 East Code Talkers Drive, Holbrook, AZ  86025.
