The prison is being demolished to make way for a luxury development meaning that families will have to travel to various locations outside of London in order to visit. This sell-off is not about the welfare of prisoners, but about profit. If the site is going to be cleared, it should be for truly affordable homes for the working class people of the area - not luxury flats for property speculators and greedy bastard landlords to invest in. We don't need more rich parasites in London, we need secure, affordable homes for all.

There's lots more fun to be had, this time baiting estate-agents, property developers, landlords, corrupt local authority officials, etc...these parasites and attendant lickspittles, are contributing to rising rents, a shortage of social housing, to the closure of libraries and social centres, the loss of green space and the demolition of pubs and clubs. They are complicit in a process of social cleansing, by which London is becoming off-limits to the poor and to the families and communities that have lived here for generations. Gentrification is class war.

NB. For lucky Haringey residents, our very own Councillor Alan Strickland from Haringey will be meeting
developers next week to agree housing demolition and social cleansing plans across London. 2,000 developers, investors, senior consultants and council officers are expected to be there to make deals about our futures.
