Demand for tech professionals is expected to increase substantially over the next decade, and increasing the number of women of color in tech will be critical to building and maintaining a competitive workforce. Despite years of efforts to increase the diversity of the tech workforce, women of color have remained underrepresented, and the numbers of some groups of women of color have even declined. Even in cases where some groups of women of color may have higher levels of representation, data show that they still face significant systemic challenges in advancing to positions of leadership. Research evidence suggests that structural and social barriers in tech education, the tech workforce, and in venture capital investment disproportionately and negatively affect women of color.

Transforming Trajectories for Women of Color in Tech uses current research as well as information obtained through four public information-gathering workshops to provide recommendations to a broad set of stakeholders within the tech ecosystem for increasing recruitment, retention, and advancement of women of color. This report identifies gaps in existing research that obscure the nature of challenges faced by women of color in tech, addresses systemic issues that negatively affect outcomes for women of color in tech, and provides guidance for transforming existing systems and implementing evidence-based policies and practices to increase the success of women of color in tech.

The Chapter Skim search tool presents what we've algorithmically identified as the most significant single chunk of text within every page in the chapter. You may select key terms to highlight them within pages of each chapter.

A PDF is a digital representation of the print book, so while it can be loaded into most e-reader programs, it doesn't allow for resizable text or advanced, interactive functionality. The eBook is optimized for e-reader devices and apps, which means that it offers a much better digital reading experience than a PDF, including resizable text and interactive features (when available).

Use accessible color combinations to enhance legibility and ensure that Georgia Tech's content is available to a diverse audience. Text in Tech Gold on a white background is not accessible. When using Tech Gold for text on a website or other digital media, substitute Tech Medium Gold for large text and Tech Dark Gold for small bold text.

These colors complement the Georgia Tech brand colors and are intended as visual accents. This evolved color palette, with its bold and bright tertiary colors, offers a more optimistic people-centered tone. These colors may be used as 100% solids or screened back (tints). See below the swatches for additional guidance on proper use of tertiary colors.

Blurb from the publisher: 'Looks like a usual dice tower to you? Well, in some way it is. But you can never be sure if the dice thrown into the tower will not fall out transformed into something else.'

What you get: Your EUR 23 or equivalent will buy you Q-Workshop's Color Tech Dice Tower, a dice tower with a strong tech theme for any game that uses dice. This high density fiberwood tower is sturdy, foldable, portable, and obviously coloured. The tower is composed of twenty five easy to assemble pieces (no tools or gluing required) and weighs 144 gr. In its folded form, its dimensions are 7,5 x 7,7 x 14 cm, while in its extended form they are 19,5 x 7,7 x 14 cm. From the moment one throws a die to the moment it hits the ground and rests, it will have touched three different angled platforms.

The inclined levels where your dice roll read 'LEVEL 3', 'LEVEL 2' and 'LEVEL 1'. A small ornamental platform before the horizontal one reads 'KEEP CLEAR', while the final horizontal platform reads 'DANGER', with rectangles and lines that are strongly reminiscent of construction sites. The holes in the panels allow you to see your dice as they slide to their resting place.

The strong points: WTF! Dice tower design and construction has taken off to a whole new level! I reviewed the initial Q-Workshop Tech Dice Tower back in 2015, and I was blown away both by the concept and the execution. Three years later, the same tower is improved and in full colour. We are talking about a generation away from the previous design, which looks was used as the blueprint for the present one and currently looks like the poor man's version. Not much has changed when it comes to the placement of cavities or the overall drawing of the lines on the contraption. What has been added however are some eleven pieces, making the tower even more sturdy, complex and imposing, as well as tons of colour. If somebody told me that this was used as a prop in a sci-fi movie, I would have believed him.

The tower is partially retractable. It is fully assembled when it comes to its height, yet the arm limiting the roll of the dice on the table can be retracted, partially covering the body of the tower. It does not become as fully portable as the e-Raptor Steam Punk Box Dice Tower, but then again, the two towers cannot be compared in any other aspect.

When it comes to style, the Color Tech Dice Tower blows any possible competition out of the water. The designs that existed in the 2015 version have taken a life of their own, with additional designs and colours added everywhere. Shades of blue, yellow and black dominate the structure. The danger signs are yellow on red and attract the eye. The Q-Workshop logo, printed on lime green plastic, makes the tower look even more imposing, practically evil.
