Hi,

I am currently working on several ongoing projects to view sustainability reports using XBRL. I would like some guidance/ training. Is anyone available (or can recommend someone) to offer some training or direct me to some form of online training?

My objectives are to be able to

1. create templates (e.g. spreadsheet)

2. tag entries fields on the templates using relevant taxonomies
Example
3. create a converter to convert the template for viewing in XBRL (using Arelle)
An example of final product is this VSME Digital Template to XBRL Converter

Given the volatile nature of sustainability reporting and regular change, I would like to be able to create something dynamic to cope with changing data points/ taxonomies.

Many thanks,

Austin Matherne

Hi,

I don't have capacity to offer training, but there's a free resource of basic XBRL training provided at https://education.xbrl.org/. I would also suggest taking a look at XINCE, as it's designed to handle the use case you've described (generate an XBRL instance from an Excel template).

Kind regards,
Austin Matherne
