I have searched the interwebs for information in regards to setting up the python API, unfortunately, the documentation is fairly limited. I am wondering if someone has been able to properly install the Arelle package and get it work either on python 2.7+ or 3.3+. I tried the following:
pip install git+ https://github.com/Arelle/Arelle/
pip install git+ https://github.com/Arelle/Arelle/
however this does not seem to work as i get
