I've installed the xbrlDB plugin. I want store an instance file to an rdfDB technology.  Unfortunately, as I went to the Tools menu to find the menu item "Store to XBRL DB..." it is not there. Have I installed the plugin incorrectly... or is this a bug?

Thanks,
Ryan

1) plugin.  (The menu entry will be at or near the bottom of the menu.)

In the plug-in manager (help->plugin manager) do you see XBRL Database under the installed plugins?  is its status "enabled"?  What date of Arelle build (or source) are running with (help->about)

2) RDF at present stores the entire abstract model, which also includes the taxonomy stuff.  There have been several requests to provide an optional way of storing subsets of stuff, like just instance and labels for facts in the instance.  We can expedite this as needed.

Yes the plugin manager indicates that the plugin is enabled.

arelle 1.0.0 64bit 2014-03-18 05:16 UTC

Thanks for your help.

by the way.... the arelleCmdLine does not recognize the --store-to-XBRL-DB argument either...

a-ha, this is the problem, missing from build: lxml.html is now used to
parse the SEC primary documents (for MD&A and other document parts of
10-K/Q), but didn't get into the build's setup.

rebuilt & re-uploaded mac, win, redhat, ubuntu, try a fresh download and
let us know if you get further!

thanks for the sleuthing,

Herm

I am using arelle 1.6.0 64 bit 2016-03-08. I do see "Store to XBRL DB" option under tools but it doesn't seem to do anything. No error either.

Through command line I have successfully installed the plug in,

c:\Program Files\Arelle>arelleCmdLine --plugins +xbrlDB
[info] Addition of plug-in XBRL Database successful. - xbrlDB

but still it is not listed here
c:\Program Files\Arelle>arelleCmdLine --plugins show
[info] Plug-in modules: -

Please help.
