Hi All - I am reaching out for help. I would like to create an XBRL taxonomy scorecard for a POC for my clients, as I've attached it. From what it looks like, Arelle plugin/Python must be able to get me there. Unfortunately, I have been running in loops and need help finding a productive path.

My input would be 10-K or 10-Q filings. They intend to improvise on Digital Finance Reporting.

Thanks,
Amish Doshi

Hi Amish,

Documentation of the Python API and plugin interface is an area of focus for the Arelle team right now. Over the next couple of months the information you're looking for should be published to the Read the Docs Arelle project. In the meantime, looking at an existing validation plugin might help.

Additionally, I'd encourage you to look at the established data quality rules published and maintained by XBRL US (also implemented with an Arelle plugin). A lot of thought and consideration has gone into what constitutes a high quality filing.

Kind regards,
Austin Matherne

Apologies, that was the wrong link for the data quality rules. Here's the correct one: https://github.com/DataQualityCommittee/dqc_us_rules

This is amazing information, Austin. I have been reading all the other posts and help of you as well. I believe in this framework and think it will lead clients to Hyper-automation eventually with ProM and Data Engineering.

My firm will also be closely following these conversations and releases to help our clients perform better with their financial reporting, which is nothing but a replica of their internal processes and people management.

We are also working on adding content to our site, to help grow the knowledge and the community base.

Appreciate your help and looking forward to staying active here.

Regards,
Amish Doshi
