Hello,

Would anyone be able to advise why the renderer inserts "<!DOCTYPE html>" when generating the inline XBRL?

Many thanks in advance for sharing your insights.

Hi Nikky,

Arelle provides a couple of different iXBRL renderers. Which one are you referring to?

Kind regards,

This is in regards to the EDGAR Renderer.

After the an EDGAR submission is filed we also see two other additional widespread document changes in the HTML:

1. There is a line-height CSS attribute being applied to the body element of all HTML documents that affects the line spacing throughout the document.

Filers would prefer that no global CSS attributes are set on either the HTML element or the BODY element.  Because these styles can be (and are) inherited by other elements within the document, this can radically alter the appearance of the document. Is it possible to avoid setting styles on those two elements?

2. There are custom CSS styles that use very common names (like "h2") that are imposing formatting changes on any content in the document that may have a class attribute that uses this name.  Because some HTML may use the class attributes for other purposes, these styles are altering the rendering behavior of parts of these documents.

If the CSS classes are needed by the Arelle viewer, would it be possible to rename them with different names that are unlikely to cause conflicts, (e.g. "ArelleH2" instead of "h2")?

Thanks,

Nikkyann,

Please forward this request to Structu...@sec.gov, as this is regarding the ixviewer, which the SEC manages.
