Hi,
I am getting this error when loading from zip file while validate all plugin is loaded

Exception loading https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1018724/000101872421000004/0001018724-21-000004-xbrl.zip/amzn-20201231.htm: [Errno 22] Invalid argument: 'https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1018724/000101872421000004/0001018724-21-000004-xbrl.zip/amzn-20201231.htm', at ['  File "Z:\\Users\\arelle\\hfdev\\arelle\\CntlrWinMain.py", line 792, in backgroundLoadXbrl\n', '  File "Z:\\Users\\arelle\\hfdev\\arelle\\ModelManager.py", line 157, in load\n', '  File "Z:\\Users\\arelle\\hfdev\\arelle\\ModelXbrl.py", line 70, in load\n', '  File "Z:\\Users\\arelle\\hfdev\\arelle\\ModelDocument.py", line 129, in load\n', '  File "Z:\\Users\\arelle\\hfdev\\arelle\\ModelDocument.py", line 129, in <genexpr>\n', '  File "D:\\final\\Arelle_app\\plugin\\validate\\EFM-htm\\__init__.py", line 139, in isLoadableHtml\n    with io.open(filepath, \'rt\', encoding=\'utf-8\') as f:\n']

This happens only with files ".htm", ".xml" files loads fine.

Thank you.

Hi,

I had a similar problem whilst validating ESEF report packages. I found that the report file in the 'reports' directory had a file extension of '.html' (which is, i believe, allowed) so to test i changed it to '.xhtml' and it worked! Maybe that will work for you.

Regards,

G.

Thanks Graham, I did something similiar already, I think it .htm should be allowed, thats the extension for all inline submissions on Edgar, or am I missing something?

I am new to Arelle so could be misunderstanding something but.. If I load a zip archive conforming to the XBRL report package format it finds the .html file inside the package and gives me the choice of whether to process the iXBRL or open the schema. If i select the iXBRL file with the html extension it does not appear to use the catalog.xml file rewrite rules. if i change it to .xhtml by creating a new zip archive it all appears to work properly!

However, I believe the reporting package format allows for either .xhtml or .html

regards,

Graham
